Joaquin Peris

Welcome!

I am Joaquin Peris, a PhD Candidate at Columbia Business School.  I will be on the 2024-2025 Academic Job Market.

My research explores the role of information in corporate settings, particularly how firms manage internal and external information flows and how these flows influence decision-making and communication. I employ analytical models to study how information is transmitted among different economic agents and its impact on the markets.

I hold a MS in Economics and Finance from CEMFI and an engineering degree from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Before pursuing my PhD, I worked as a consultant on antitrust and competition cases at RBB Economics and Compass Lexecon.

In my free time, I enjoy nature, open water swimming, and reading.
